At the end of La Rambla, the Columbus Monument no longer marks the end of the city, but a punctuation, as the axis continues along Ramba del Mar to the seafront area. Here, a shopping centre, cinema complex, and bars and restaurants compete for attention opposite the berthed cruise ships. With great views back to the city and Montjuic, it’s a pleasant place for a late afternoon stroll.
